Autumn Leaves
The life of the young
Collin Turay and his mother was that
of overwhelming poverty, which they
faced with a semblance of dignity. Collin
grew up nurturing the dream of getting
his mother out of misery but realised
there were a lot of hurdles to overcome.
During a short stay in a mental institution
where he was treated for depression,
he met Adrian, another patient from
a similar background. They later became
inseparable and made a lot of money
selling drugs. That kind of money did
not bring happiness, as expected, but
greed coupled with a terrible feeling
of guilt. Then came Osu who introduced
Collin to fraud and deception that eventually
landed him in prison.
The time served in
prison helped him take stock of his
life and make plans for a happy and
peaceful life with Tracy, his childhood
girlfriend. Unfortunately her former
pimp killed her soon after their marriage.
Collin decided to avenge Tracy but when
he eventually faced her killer begging
for forgiveness, he preferred to let
his own conscience torture him for life.
