Rhinolophus Paradoxolophus
pen & ink on A6 paper

Until recently, Bourret's Horseshoe Bat (Rhinolophus paradoxolophus) was known only from two sites in SE-Asia and was considered a threatened species. Recent surveys have located several new populations in forested karst areas in north Vietnam however, so there is renewed hope for long term conservation of the species. As R. paradoxolophus appears to dwell exclusively within forest interior habitats however, it remains vulnerable to the effects of continued forest degradation within its range.
